Launching 2027

Contingency management works. We're working to make it available.

Contingency management is a behavioral treatment in which patients earn small rewards for objectively verified progress, such as a negative drug test. It has the strongest evidence of any treatment for stimulant use disorder, for which no medication is approved, yet few patients can get it.

Our Mental Health Matters is a Philadelphia nonprofit in formation. We plan to fund the rewards and take on the administrative work, so that licensed clinicians can offer contingency management to the patients who need it. We'll begin with a pilot in Philadelphia and New York City.
